I had this drive for a bit before I finally used it, so I was out of the return window. It has never worked for me. I tried every trick in the book to get it to work, but it was a dud. SimpleTech was no help at all with an RMA, so I am out around $100 for a drive that never worked at all.Customer Review: Lost important data

I trusted this drive with valuable pictures. Then one day it gets an error. It can see that I have 3GB of data on the drive but I can't access it. Now the drive comes up as empty.
NEVER trust this device with anything valuable. Get a thumb drive instead.

I bought this at costco and just use it for backups about 1x quarter. It only lasted 1 year. I bought another and that one broke too. and it just sits there with almost no movement.
